Jenkins Equine Neurophysiologic Therapy (JENT) is a unique equine therapy system based on Dianne Jenkins’ lifelong search to reduce the underlying cause of pain and therefore prevent unnecessary stress and lameness in horses. JENT is a therapeutic breakthrough in the enhancement of equine health and performance. Research has led to the development of a system of therapeutic intervention second to none in the world.

“I have found that the majority of low level gait unevenness can be attributed to pain and discomfort caused by predictable patterns of myofascial dysfunction long before joint pain is identifiable. Sub-clinical lameness conditions inevitably prevent horses from reaching their true potential. JENT identifies and corrects these issues. My data proves that even the highest level performance horses carry small injuries that once corrected further increase the horse’s capabilities and willingness”.
Dianne Jenkins is a passionate and highly successful equine specialist. Drawing upon her vast experience as a rider, trainer, competitor, nationally accredited instructor and judge she discovered that most horses suffer from previously unidentified, predictable patterns of common low grade injuries that cause postural, training and behavioural issues and lead to lameness.
During 25 years immersed in the horse industry at her Equestrian Centre in Australia, she developed a deep understanding of the physiological, social, mental and emotional health needs of horses which when addressed are essential for optimising health and performance.
As a JENT Practitioner for a further 15 years Dianne discovered horses frequently share similar patterns of movement restriction. Her research supports that she has solved the mystery as to the cause of equine chronic lumbar pain that cannot be diagnosed by radiograph or ultrasound. She can explain and correct the primary causes and gradual patterns of compensatory issues that cause this and lead to the early onset of wear and tear and ultimately joint dysfunction.
Dianne has a rare ability to detect anticedents to unevenness through gait analysis, the subtle indicators of issues she can then identify and correct with this unique therepeutic intervention.
JENT is about correcting postural and compensatory issues before horses are clinically lame.
