JENT Testimonials
I thought I would have to retire my mare who was often unsound and quite difficult to handle. With a few concentrated treatments 3 over 7 weeks she is still going strong and wanting to be ridden. Di’s advice is invaluable.
Sharon Holmes

I booked an appt with Di to treat a suspensory ligament strain that the Vets advised paddock rest for. She not only got my horse back in work in ½ the time expected but found the postural issues that most likely led to this injury in the first place.

Update on our stallion. Physical - the photos tell most of the story and he's starting to wear his hooves correctly. Glen plans to trim them when he gets back from Canberra as we have not pushed Shama greatly, just let him heal and discover what does and does not hurt. He's not convinced about his forelegs but he will get there. Now he's out in his own paddock again there is no hesitation in the gallop, just the slight difference as he is still heel high at the walk. The movement in front has straightened up and while he still has his grazing habits, he's no longer hesitating to bring the near fore forward. The bulldog stance is new to him and he does not seem to thing about spreading the forelegs wide now if he needs to. Behaviour - he has relaxed greatly and all but stopped biting. He seems to be convinced now the grass is not going to run away before he eats it, so that may be a factor in his relaxation.

You treated my chestnut gelding "Banjo" in Jindabyne recently. Yesterday I had a lesson with my instructor, I did not mention that you had treated him at first. He could not believe the difference in him since our last lesson a few months back. Although he has had no work at all, Les kept commenting on how supple he was, and he said seemed much more elastic and using his shoulders and hindquarters soooo much more! He still has the lumpy bits under the saddle area though, so please let me know when you are back this way again. I'd love another treatment! Thanks heaps.

Report on my competition dressage horse. Trot gaining momentum. Significantly less sweating on neck, shoulders and chest. Difficulty in right lateral work gone. Changes right to left were bad. Now excellent. Thankyou.
Jill Coate (late)

I was amazed to discover, that my appaloosa had 3 warm feet and one cold foot…… So Di can explain what caused the "cold foot" but I can certainly say, that on her leaving - I had a horse with 4 warm feet. The cold foot was lacking blood supply, from a problem with his stifle, which was also causing obvious pain and difficulty for him at canter especially on the right lead.
Jenny Andrews

My lesson from it all is, when he doesn’t give a canter lead when asked, call you then, don’t wait until he’s hurt two shoulders!
Janet Booth

My horse is treated every 6 weeks. Never has been better. I can rely on Di to find minor issues that would otherwise become major ones.
Karen Sloan

Just e-mailing you to let you know how Zeb is going. I started riding him again this weekend, just at walk and already he feels heaps better, he’s actually started swinging through his back again.
Vicki Hardwick

Alexandra's palomino "Legend" is going great guns. She did a three day Steve Brady clinic on him last week and he was perfect. He is carrying his head lower than ever before- and happily so! Even tried to collect himself! Now that's scary! We are working him gently to encourage him to lengthen and lower his head and neck and starting lessons with Belinda Macintosh each week - very gentle, not stressful, just trying to build up his shoulders. Everyone who watched the clinic last week were so impressed with how relaxed and happy he looked - no stress attacks and mucking up. Alexandra was thrilled that she can now walk him sideways etc. she can lower his head right down - try to distract him and he just plays along perfectly. Thanks for your help.

Thought you might like to know how much improvement we've noticed since your final visit! Haven’t had transitions this smooth or, strides this loose, forward, free and engaged for a dog's age! Thanks,
Julia and Christine Johnson

I just wanted to let you both know how well Digger (my sons horse) is going after the treatments you have done on him in the last two weeks. Zac rode him on the weekend and Digger went so well. We were absolutely thrilled with him. Zac also noticed a big difference in his horse, he was so much more agreeable. Thanks very much.

I thought my horse had a sore back. Little did I know he also had problems with feet, saddle fitting, feed, and teeth as well as his rider. It was only through Di Jenkins’ methods, knowledge, experience and thought provoking insights that I realised I had a lot of changing to do in the way I looked after my horse. The JENT method uses a range of techniques that focus on ability rather than disability. Her work assists the horse to heal its self while supporting and encouraging the healing process. She treats the horse as a valued client and encourages the owner to be involved in the horse’s healing process. I see Dianne as holistic equine expert. Her experience and knowledge in caring for the equine body and mind are unequalled.

Just wanted to let you know how Moses is coming along. This time he is marvellous. There is no soreness whatsoever and he has a new level of softness that he just didn't have before. The thing I am noticing most is that he no longer braces against me in the downward transitions (which he used to do) and he is just so much looser through the neck. So, it looks as though your hard work has paid off. I will start upping the anti a bit over Xmas and will let you know his development again after a couple of weeks of riding, but I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with him. Hope you have a merry Xmas and that the client's leave you alone long enough so that you can enjoy some time off!! Thanks once again.

I took Macavoy (the bay) for a ride on the weekend with a treeless saddle. He has never moved so well in the year I have owned him. His trot was so big and smooth and in the canter I had no trouble keeping my bum firmly in the saddle. So here is hoping that with a bit of treatment and a saddle that fits he might start going even better than he has in the past.

Thought you’d like to know Cye worked as best he ever has at the clinic. Miguel was very pleased with him so we are getting somewhere with his rehab. Carol Briggs Fred (‘Read the Book”) has never been a easy horse to do anything with and with small injury after small injury his owners got sick of paying for him and getting no return back so myself and family took over ownership and that’s where a whole new story starts. We gave him a good rest and started again fresh. He had 3 starts for us with 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Then he did something and went ‘off’ but we could not figure out what was wrong with him. Neither could the Vet. I was told to call Di as she might find something, so I did. Raph who works for Di came to see him and was a different horse from that day on. He got better with each visit. He has since gone on to win the Queanbeyan and Jerrabomberra Cups double which has never been done before. He has won 5 races and has become a local hero with the Queanbeyan public since Di and Raph started treating him. He is in the news paper most weeks and I don't think we would have found his problem if Raph and Di had not seen him.

Inspirational, high integrity, and very good at what you do.
Di Coxen

Thankyou for recommending Di Jenkins to me. She saw my horse at your place today and diagnosed many problems which she believes are completely fixable. However, as you would know from past experiences, she has asked me not to ride Peace for two weeks, I was very encouraged by the knowledge and expertise Di showed and Peace oozed relaxation from her hands.
Susan Henshall

Thank you for doing my horse Tuscany when you stayed with me. I rode him the Wed, Thurs and today and felt significant improvement with his flexion to the right and the irregularity seemed better.
Jane Mitchell

Thanks again for your help with Millie she seemed a lot more relaxed tonight when I put her away. It's always lovely to know that someone is looking after our animals as well as us. I can understand the level of satisfaction you must receive when the horses want to thank you in there own individual way. Is it any wonder why we love them so much? Thanks and may God bless you abundantly in your personal life and business. You certainly deserve it, the gift you have been given is unique.
Di Brown

Thanks again Di- your commitment to the horse is inspiring.

Just wanted to write to say "thank you" to you and Gill for the work that you did on Twinkle and Ric. I knew the old boy needed it and it was my sixth sense that told me Twinkle may need some help as well! So we are all very happy thanks to you lot! Look forward to seeing you in another six weeks and will let you know how Ric pulls up in the meantime-however, if his behaviour going back to the paddock is any indication, then he may be telling you! Many thanks for all of your hard work. and We finished 6th in the Amateur Championship class and WON the combined equitation! What is it you say in your brochure-"ride the difference"! I did and the results are certainly there! So I just wanted to say thank you, he went like a million dollars.
Amanda Wood

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how well both Tally and Cody are going again. Its just wonderful to ride and feel the difference, especially Tally, he is going like a star, and young Jo is getting so much pleasure from him, his canters and flying changes have her in raptures! Again thanks sooo much.
Denise and Chuck Kramarczuk

I can’t believe it. I have my horse back. He is not afraid to be ridden now, and is generally SO much quieter. Also he’s willing to do anything again. Thankyou.
Catherine Baird

Thank you again for your wonderful work with my horses. Both horses are very relaxed and appear to be much happier and hungrier.
Patricia London-Rennie

Thankyou as always for the fantastic job you do in relieving pain and treating horses all over Canberra.

We first heard of Di when she treated our rescue gelding, Delfire, for his lessee. We sent our future stallion, Nashama Ben Tahl, away for training and showing. We had battled a front hoof problem most of his life after a fall as a foal - one long toe, one clubby hoof, restrictions in the shoulders. Away from home he was a bit of a monster - biting, laying down, refusing to accept a massage therapist and he zoned in training until he was branded untrainable. We brought him home and Delfire's lessee suggested we see if Di would treat Shama. After organising ourselves and a 4 hour trip, Shama was finally in Di's facility - with a float that needed a new ramp from his kicking. Over the next few days Shama was treated and his movement transformed. He went back on the float quietly and slept with his head in the hay bag most of the way home. A few months out the hoof is returning to correct form, Shama strides out and he has all but stopped biting. We are trying to find the time to both attend Di's courses and we have another horse waiting to make the long trip to Canberra.

I just wanted to give you some feedback in writing about your treatment of Sam after his knee injury. You may recall Sam had a fairly major accident in the paddock - he had a deep wound on his knee and a large haematoma over the knee - it was very swollen and he was very lame. He had veterinary treatment for the wound but a week later the knee was still very swollen and I asked you to take a look at him. Apart from working on his shoulders and hindquarters, you also massaged the muscle in the leg above the knee and applied acupressure to a point on the hindquarters associated with fluid on the knee. The following morning I was very surprised to find that the swelling on his knee had decreased dramatically overnight so that it was almost back to normal size. Not sure whether it was the massage of the leg or the acupressure but the treatment certainly worked!

I can't believe how well Chips is doing. He has been taking himself for little trots and the odd canter in the paddock! I think he's feeling much better. Thank you Di.
Dee Hurst

It was great to catch up today and I always enjoy your visits as I am continually learning from you. Your knowledge base is so huge and mind boggling. My horse enjoys them too!
Dorinda Lillington

Just to let you know how Panda is going. Today, I had my lesson with Uwe Spenlen at Hall. it is the best she has ever worked there (she has never worked well there as her very first outing in Australia was at that venue and only five minutes into my lesson two trucks pull up alongside the arena and unloaded about 6 horses. Then on other occasions it has been windy and the horses have been galloping around the paddock at the top end of the end which has freaked her out. She always seems to go there looking for distraction and reasons not to work) So today was good, she did try. Still a bit stiffer to the right but overall over the four days her concentration has become progressively better but not 100%. She floated well to and from Sutton on Monday and also she floated quite well into Hall.

I would just like to let you know that I think you are fantastic and the fact you were so spot on in the lameness problems... you know your job dear lady. Amazing what your hard yards in gaining knowledge has achieved

Just wanted to let you know that Rosie is going along really really really well! She feels rock solid, strong, and is happy to work. We've been extending the length and pace of rides and although we are both tired at the end of a 15k outing there is more in the tank. I swear too that the difference I was feeling between left and right diagonals when going in a straight line is almost not noticeable on the flat - have been working on spending time on both diagonals to be sure I am not creating a problem. Have also worked out what Rosie is telling me when I massage - her favourite thing at the moment is a scratching rather than massage right under her barrel and get this - really close to her teats!! I have to be very careful as there is a fine line that I MUST NOT go over, but when she lifts her hind leg and wiggles the bottom lip with her nose almost on the ground, that's priceless! So in a nutshell Di, you've done it again -Thank you thank you thank you! - and thank you from Rosie as well I'm sure.

Our family have used Di on many of our horses at Birdwood Stud with outstanding results that are measurable almost immediately. Improvement in attitude, agility and appetite, all culminate in a much happier animal. Her work on our show ponies has resulted in more relaxed easy-going animals that really enjoy showing off in the show-ring, both led and under saddle. With the ponies she assists going on to win major prizes, including a Supreme Champion at APSB Nationals, Best Yearling Exhibit APSB Feature Show and many Champions at Agricultural Shows. Work done on our stallions has improved their performance and accentuated their kind attitude to our mares. I do not hesitate in recommending Di to other breeders and horse enthusiasts.
Jacqui Smith Birdwood Stud

We have had Di work on 4 of our horses and always have an assessment done before purchasing a new horse. The horses love it and as two of our horses have been bought with injuries, the treatments enabled us to get them back into form with very little distress. The power walking after a treatment works wonders and has the added bonus of helping with the bonding process.

I know I will see you at your farewell but wanted to say thank you for your ongoing support and generosity in sharing your knowledge. Equine bodywork is a fascinating study with such sensitive creatures and I wanted to make sure you know that we humans as well as our lovely horses appreciate it. I know you will have a blast in Ireland and you will be just as successful over there as you are here. Thanks Di.
